3. Products and Orders

All jewelry products ("Products") are described as accurately as possible, but we do not warrant that descriptions or images are error-free. Colors, materials (e.g., gold karat, gemstone authenticity), and sizes may vary slightly due to screen settings or manufacturing tolerances. We comply with FTC guidelines for truthful advertising and Illinois prohibitions on deceptive practices under 815 ILCS 505.

  • Placing an Order: Orders are offers to purchase. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order for any reason, including availability, pricing errors, or suspected fraud. You will receive confirmation via email upon order placement and shipment.
  • Pricing and Payment: Prices are in U.S. dollars and exclude taxes, shipping, and handling (which will be added at checkout). We accept [list methods, e.g., credit cards, PayPal]. All payments are processed securely. Illinois sales tax will be charged where applicable under state law.

4. Returns, Refunds, and Exchanges

We want you to love your jewelry. Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery for unused, unworn items in original condition and packaging. Custom or personalized jewelry is non-returnable unless defective.

  • Process: Contact us at info@chhabriajewels.com to initiate a return. Return shipping is at your expense unless the item is defective or we made an error. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method within 10 business days of receipt and inspection.
  • Defective Products: If a Product is defective (breakage, discoloration), contact us within 14 days for a free return, replacement, or refund. This does not cover normal wear or misuse.
  • Cancellations: Orders can be canceled before shipment; after shipment, they are subject to our return policy.

All returns comply with FTC rules on refunds and Illinois consumer rights under the Consumer Fraud Act.

5. Warranties and Disclaimers

  • Limited Warranty: We warrant that Products are free from defects in materials and workmanship for 1 year from purchase, subject to normal use. This warranty is in addition to any statutory rights under Illinois law.
  • AS IS Basis: THE SITE AND PRODUCTS ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Site.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL WE BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES (INCLUDING LOST PROFITS OR DATA) ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SITE OR PRODUCTS, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE PAST 12 MONTHS. This limitation complies with Illinois law and does not apply to gross negligence or willful misconduct.

7. Indemnification

1. Eligibility for Returns

You may return most jewelry products ("Products") within 30 days of delivery, provided they are:

  • Unused, unworn, and in original condition (including tags, packaging, and certificates, if applicable).
  • Not custom-made, personalized, or engraved, unless defective.
  • Accompanied by proof of purchase (e.g., order confirmation or receipt).

2. Non-Returnable Items

The following items are non-returnable unless defective:

  • Custom or personalized jewelry (e.g., engraved items or made-to-order designs).
  • Items marked as "final sale" at the time of purchase.
  • Gift cards or promotional vouchers.

3. Return Process

To initiate a return:

  1. Contact us within 30 days of delivery at info@chhabriajewels.com to request a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number.
  2. Package the Product securely in its original packaging, including all accessories and documentation.
  3. Ship the Product to the address specified in your return response email using a trackable courier. You are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item is defective or we made an error.
  4. Include the RMA number and proof of purchase in the package.

We are not responsible for lost or damaged returns during transit. We recommend insuring your shipment.

4. Refunds

  • Once we receive and inspect your return (typically within 5 business days), we will notify you via email about approval or rejection.
  • If approved, refunds will be issued to the original payment method within 10 business days, excluding original shipping costs.

5. Exchanges

6. Defective or Damaged Products

If a Product is defective (e.g., manufacturing defects like loose stones or broken clasps) or damaged upon receipt:

  • Provide photos and a description of the defect/damage.
  • We will provide a prepaid return shipping label and offer a replacement, repair, or full refund, at your discretion, in accordance with FTC guidelines and Illinois consumer protection laws.

This does not cover damage due to misuse, normal wear, or improper care (e.g., exposure to chemicals).

7. Order Cancellations

8. International Returns
